I have had this chip for years, but did not get around to using it until now. It is not now generally offered, nor is the similar MC1495. Analog Devices has a better chip, but it is very expensive. I found the data sheet somewhat confusing to select the resistors, but it worked anyway. The output is a current, so I used an op-amp to convert to a voltage and filter the waveform. It needed a second op-amp as a second-order filter to get the ripple under the resolution of the picaxe.
